Halloween Toddler Activity - Pumpkin Carving

A traditional activity around Halloween is pumpkin carving. Have fun this year by making this a family project you can do together with your toddler.

While your toddler won't do the actual carving of the pumpkin let them help pick out the design and help scoop out the seeds.

I would suggest buying one of those cheap pumpkin carving kits at the grocery store that contain a little scoop and carver (which usually isn't too sharp).

Also check out your alternatives to using votives/tealights to light up your pumpkin. You do not want your little one getting burned by their curiousity of the light. They now have battery operated lights that you usually can find cheap at Wal Mart or Target.
