    The Toddlers Busy Book

I found The Toddler's Busy Book totally by accident while searching one of my favorite shopping sites, amazon.com.

This book was right up my alley being a work/stay at home mom who is always looking for new fun activities for her toddler. This book was made for me!

I quickly ordered and just got it in the mail. The Toddler's Busy Book is an awesome find for under 10 bucks!

Basically for every day of the year(365) there is a new creative game or activity to occupy your toddler. These are great little things that we can do together and everything is nicely laid out. There is also a great section on organizing everything, which is really nice.

I love the fact that this book is age specific to just 1 1/2 years to 3 year olds, so 100% of the book is useful.

This is an excellent resource for moms with toddlers and I encourage you to check it out!

    Toddlers and Pacifiers

My 2 1/2 year old daughter still uses a pacifier, she calls it her "pac pac". For quite some time now it has been bothering me that she still uses it, and depends on it for bedtime. I have yet to try to wean her off of it because her speech is good without it, and I really do feel bad about it. But the time is coming...very soon...when the pacifier must go!

I researched a few ways to help break the habit of using a pacifier. My first instinct would be to just throw it away and never have it appear again, but here are some other things to try:

  • Start by using the pacifier only at bedtimes, and not outside the home

  • Cut a very small hole in the tip of the pacifier. This lets the air out and makes it more difficult for your toddler to suck...eventually they will not want it anymore.

  • Try to "trade in" your toddlers pacifier for another object, such as a stuffed animal or blanket.

  • Offer a reward system for every nap or bedtime when your toddler does not use their pacifier.

    Weekly Meal Plan for Toddlers

Now that the New Year is here I know I am trying to get everything organized and have some new resolutions I'd like to get in place. One of them is getting a nice weekly meal plan together for my toddler.

I just got a 3 month subscription to Dine Without Whine to get our family dinners together and I am going to also sign up for Kid Approved Meals to get our breakfast and lunches together.

Meal Planning in the New Year is now going to be a breeze!

I encourage you to sign up for either of these meal planning services, the small price you will pay will more than make up for the stressing out and time you'll save!

    Happy New Year Moms!
