Pampers “One Pack=One Vaccine”

by admin on March 26, 2009

Pampers has joined forces with UNICEF to help save the lives of babies around the world in the Pampers “One Pack=One Vaccine” campaign.

From February 5th through May 1st, 2009, parents in the U.S. and Canada have the opportunity to help UNICEF protect moms and babies around the world against tetanus by simply purchasing specially-marked packages of Pampers diapers and wipes. Each product they buy triggers one life-saving vaccine*.  These specially marked packages of diapers and wipes cost the same as traditional products and are available wherever Pampers products are sold.

In addition to buying Pampers diapers, parents can also redeem Gifts to Grow points for a special campaign “baby body suit” – each baby body suit also triggers a life-saving vaccine. http://www.pampers.com/giftstogrow

Maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT), a both preventable diseases that claim the lives of approximately 128,000 infants and 30,000 mothers in less industrialized nations each year – that’s approximately one death every four minutes.

Tetanus is a fatal disease that can be eliminated with a simple vaccine.  By simply purchasing something you do anyway – diapers and wipes – you can help wipe out tetanus.
